Youth Committee

Youth in the workforce has been a quiet demographic with interests, concerns and even fears that have not had a voice. The PSAC National Captial Region Youth Committee provides youth with a forum to voice their concners, pursue their interests and change the things they fear. The NCR Youth Committee has tried to identify workplace issues that can be addressed by the union; these include term employment, under-employment as well as social concerns such as same-sex marriage, international aid, social justice and globalization. The Youth Committtee has also developed a secondary interest of having a strong presence and voice within the union and has been organizing groups of youth to attend PSAC courses, union school and activity on committees, conventions and at the Local level by encouraging involvement with their Local Executive.

The NCR Youth Committee meets in an informal setting and is always looking for interested members that are under thirty years of age. Meetings are open to new members, so think globally and act locally—get involved with the NCR Youth Committee!
