Union tables its monetary demands

The Union bargaining team has tabled its monetary demands on wages, bonuses, premiums, leave and staffing.

Here are the details:

• The agreement would expire on March 31, 2012
• Wage increase: 1.5% on April 1, 2009; 1.5% on April 1, 2010; conversion to wage scale on April 1, 2011.
• Here is the new wage scale
• Premiums: demands on premiums for work during evenings or weekends and a bilingual bonus.
• Leave: improvements on leaves
• Staffing: a better staffing process.
