June 20, 2007: Goodbye to the old collective agreement… Hello to a new and better one
On June 20th, the Program and Administrative Services agreement expires. But that’s just the beginning of the story. Your negotiating team has already started to negotiate a new and better agreement.
And, it’s not the only new agreement being negotiated. The Technical Services agreement expires on June 21st, the Education and Library Science agreement on June 30th and the Operational Services agreement on August 4th. PSAC members in the Frontière\Border Services bargaining unit are negotiating their very first agreement.
June 20, PSAC members in all of the Treasury Board bargaining units are joining in a day of solidarity to show your support for the people working on these new agreements – your negotiating teams!
Your teams have been at the bargaining table in May and June and will be back negotiating in early October.
Before the summer is over,
- check out the PSAC web site – www.psac-afpc.com – where you’ll find your unit’s bargaining demands and PSAC’s Bargaining INFO bulletins, and
- read the next issue of PSAC’s Our Union Voice – delivered to your home later this summer - that will have information about your demands, the employer’s demands, who’s on your negotiating teams, and what’s new with the bargaining process this time.
In the fall, look for and support activities happening in your region as bargaining intensifies.
