Even if pensions were not targeted by the government in its latest budget, the March 4 budget freezes federal departmental spending. The government announced they want to balance the budget on the backs of public service workers – a direct threat to our jobs and the services we deliver.

Put people first in federal budget
The head of the largest union representing federal public sector workers is urging the Harper government not to cut public services or attack federal pension plans in order to pay off the deficit. Read the press release.

Workers ratify new agreement after 86 days on strike
Workers from the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the War Museum have voted to accept the tentative settlement negotiated between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation on December 15.
