The PSAC Health and Safety Committee
in the National Capital Region is currently recruiting new
members.
Its mandate is to contribute to the development of a culture
promoting a healthy and safe working environment in the National
Capital Region.
Upcoming challenges include contributing to the exchange
of information on occupational health and safety, having a hand in some of the work to be done on
the current education schedule and other rewarding activities.
Please note that the committee meetings have been set
for the third Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. The meetings are held alternatively at the Gatineau Regional Office
at 200 Promenade du Portage and at the Ottawa Regional Office at 15 Holland Avenue
in Ottawa. Check the calendar for the exact location of the meeting. Since light meals are usually provided at these
meetings, it is important that you confirm beforehand that
you will be attending.
The committee does have a budget and consists of members
committed to occupational health and safety. To join the
committee, all you have to do is send an e-mail indicating
your interest to Dominic Lavoie with your contact information.
For more information, the Committee Chair, Barbara Stewart,
can be reached at 598-2224 or you can call Dominic Lavoie,
Regional Representative, Occupational Health and Safety,
at 777-4647.
Prevention is front and centre for all of us!
