CRAPO general meeting : Wednesday, June 9, 2010 - Election Result
Congratulation to Jean-Pierre Ouellet the new president of The Conseil régional d’action politique de l’Outaouais.
CRAPO would like to thank past President, Daniel Charron, for all his hard work and wish him the best of luck in his new position as NCR.
Death of trade unionist Michel Chartrand
Members of CRAPO had sent this message to the family of Michel Chartrand:
We were saddened to learn of the death of Michel Chartrand, a great humanist and a great trade unionist who served as a beacon for many of us who work in the union movement.
We would like to convey to you our condolences and tell you just how much Michel showed us the way.
We do not claim to have the impact he had on Quebec, as this would be presumptuous of us. However, we believe that all men and women who have agreed to defend the rights of workers and the marginalized members of society have within them some vestiges of the ardent fervour that Michel Chartrand had.
Some of us would run into Michel at union or social activities. Others always appreciated his unwavering commitment. But all of us were inspired by his action, his daring, his unwillingness to compromise; and we will carry on his memory.
Please accept our most heartfelt condolences.
